One of the cool things about living so close to a major city is the ability to drive down for a short one day adventure. While the farmers market and swap meets in the local area can suffice, nothing compares to the
Rose Bowl flea market in Pasadena. Our plan was to leave early, have some breakfast and then spend the day seeing all the cool stuff for sale.
With a long day of walking planned, fuel is a necessity, and there's no better breakfast fuel than Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles!

After a hearty breakfast, we drove the remaining 5 minutes to the Rose Bowl and got there about 30 minutes after they opened. It was backed! Word of advise, if you are thinking of going show up early or be expected to wait in line to find a parking spot. It is well worth it. So much cool stuff to see.
